Pelican: Deny the Absolute

Instrumental post metal heavyweights, Pelican, will release their first new music in six years in the form of a two song seven-inch, coming on Record Store Day, April 13th, 2019, via Southern Lord Recordings. The single will be composed of Midnight and Mescaline and Darkness on the Stairs, a pair of tracks that promises to express much from Pelican's live spirit, and their 90s DIY and punk origins.

The band will embark on a run of US tour dates this June, together with heavy showgazers, Cloakroom. Dates listed below.

Before all that happens, Southern Lord release a deluxe reissue of Pelican's Forever Becoming, their album from 2013, which carries improved mix and mastering of the original songs. The Japan-only track, Bardo, comes as a bonus, and album cut, Deny the Absolute comes with an update visual that captures the band's dynamism and energy as a live act.
