Absolutely Not: Bottom of the Pit

With the addition of Meat Wave guitarist, Chris Sutter, Chicago's queer punks, Absolutely Not, become a dynamic quartet and gear up for the release of their upcoming album, Problematic, due out March 1st, 2019 through No Trend Records.

The strident introductory single, Bottom of the Pit, once more presents the band's usual wit and sharp commentary on social issues, attached to an astute, dark and humorous DIY video, directed by Dave Rentauskas, and starring Maggie Kubley and Risa DeVinney.

"The video is about the infuriating Beckys of the world; the basic, kinda racist/homophobic, (usually white) girls that have no concept of anything going on outside their little bubble," share the band about it. "Lucky for you, dear listener, Absolutely Not is here to help shatter their bubble and expose them for who they are... in their typical half evil/half comical fashion, of course! Be sure to look out for the cameos of each band member throughout the video, but most importantly, WATCH OUT FOR BECKYS!"

Convulsive and frenzied, the song's post punk and synth punk grit presents an able band, eager to share with the world their radical creativity and their smart observations on modern society.
