The Ninth Wave: Sometimes the Silence is Sweeter

With the band's physical-only EP, Flesch, freshly out through Distiller Records, Glasgow's The Ninth Wave release another single and video, this time for the forlorn post punk piece, Sometimes The Silence Is Sweeter.

Starring Paul Michael Henry as the frantic dancer, and directed by Ciaran Lyons, the music video is an equally moody work of art shot in the streets of Glasgow; most representative of the dark qualities in the band's shrewd amalgamation of post punk, gothic pop and new-romantic-colored new wave.

Flesch is a listen worthy of attention, and between this grabbing single and the previously unveiled, A Wave Goodbye to the People Who Said I'd Win, the EP is presented like an arresting display of a rising act that continues to push expectations.
