Iceage: Broken Hours

With Beyondless, their fourth album still enlivening and reverberating a fair amount of the world's speakers as a fresh and significant listen, Denmark's Iceage like to indulge in some one-off singles, while being busy touring recently the States, and now Europe.

The super moody post punk dynamite, Broken Hours, was out before as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Beyondless, and now gets the standalone release that it deserves, as it breaks out as one of the most grabbing pieces of music the band has put out in recent memory. Iceage sound right at home through the song's deft bleak and menacing nuances, and keep having the strongest year in their existence as a group.

Broken Hours is out now via Matador.
