After being delayed for a nerve-crushing four-year period, Dear Tommy, the ridiculously long anticipated new album by Chromatics, is finally on its way. At least it seems so.
The story behind how Johnny Jewel denounced his own work and destroyed every physical copy of Dear Tommy is more or less known. What matters most now is that there is an actual new track available and scheduled to be on Chromatics' new album, due out this Fall.
For the brand new, Black Walls, the band share a beautiful, self-directed video which matches the colorfulness of their synth-heavy dreampop sound to total perfection. On it the band seem to be still carrying the impact that Twin Peaks had on them last year. Or could it be the other way around?
Rejoice your poor hearts in the new Chromatics.
