Me Not You: Reckoning 2

Only a few months after the release of their promising debut, Reckoning 1, Brooklyn's Me Not You remain productive, imaginative and fierce, proving that their uprising notoriety is richly deserved, through the release of their new EP, Reckoning 2.

Most of the songs on the 20-minute long EP have previously been released as singles, and have already received a fair amount of appreciation from publications and fans alike. Based on a combination of cutting electronic production, warmhearted, yet accessible songwriting, and savvy execution, Me Not You in quick succession deliver another set of tracks and highlighted singles which together add up to another solid release.

Chemical Cure is the band's latest single release which coincided with the unveiling of Reckoning 2 in its entirety.

The band share some interesting details about what inspired it: "We wrote Chemical Cure on a particular bad day for our country and our world recently. It seems that there are quite a few of these lately. The song is about waking up every day and having to face what's going on out there in there world. It's about wanting to, and also not wanting to, lean on chemicals to deal with the ups and downs of life. Chemicals from the outside and those pesky neurotransmitters our brain makes. The rise of the morning, the hope, and then the apathy that can set in by nighttime... But also sometimes finding inspiration and promise in the gaps of what's left, what's in between."
