Miniatures: Honey

New Zealand's Miniatures have been around since 2012, released a handful of singles and EPs during their early years and they returned in 2017 with their proper full length debut, Jessamines, out on Saint Marie Records.

The trio comprised of Ché Walden, Annemarie Duff and Chris MacLean create a faultless mixture of rocking energy and beautiful atmosphere, rich in layers and always inviting through the hazy soundscapes and enchanting female vocal delivery. The band state among their influences some of the most important shoegaze and dreampop acts of the nineties such as Cocteau Twins, Curve, Slowdive, Smashing Pumpkins and The Sundays among others.

Honey is the seductively fuzzy first single off Jessamines, and it drops with a beautiful music video directed by Julian Vares. The song and video emerge like something that escaped the early nineties, and which lovingly carries Miniatures' rousing and full of personality cacophony.
