Surf Rock Is Dead: Everything They Said

Everything They Said is the third single from half Chicagoan - half Melbournian duo, Surf Rock Is Dead, off their very promising upcoming EP, We Have No Friends? which will be released October 6th on The Native Sound.

Coming right after In Between and As If, the song continues in the same vein of dreampop and shoegazing haziness with subtle post-punk overtones, and it has been inspired by the current political climate in America.

"The phrase 'we have no friends' is a running joke and half-truth between the band," reveals the band's own Kevin Pariso about the namesake of the EP. "When we formed the project we would spend late weekend nights jamming and writing music instead of spending it out with friends. Putting time into a creative project definitely can hamper your social life but the idea is that the fruit it bears will be worth the sacrifices."

Note that the vinyl versions of the new EP include their entire debut, SRiD EP, on the b-side.
