Heartless, the upcoming third album by Arkansas doom metal quartet, Pallbearer, drops March 24th on Profound Lore, but as of today we have a first sample off it to hang on to until the release date.
Regarding Heartless we've been promised that it is going to be the band's most straightforward and arresting album, the kind of breakthrough work that will introduce new elements to the bands heavy sound, aspects of progressive rock, nineties alternative and proto-metal.
Heartless was recorded on analog tape at Fellowship Hall Sound in the band's hometown of Little Rock and mixed by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, Melvins, Soundgarden), and Thorns, the first track that's surfaced off it, is a sharp and dynamic doom track which definitely does not disappoint.
