Just recently we expressed our enthusiasm for Los Angeles dark pop duo, Lolahiko, by presenting two tracks off their debut EP, The Year We Died But Stayed Alive.
In view of how the band themselves put it, the EP is "centered around death, hurt, and confusion", however, the track that follows below is considered by the duo to be their "heart track" and it is themed around love and understanding.
Lauren Marie and Ike Kawaguchi occupy a part of that small space in pop music that's been reserved for those who instinctively lean towards the darkness, which only a few have attempted to fill so far, and even fewer have succeeded.
