Cold Cave: The Idea Of Love

The world has been waiting on the new Cold Cave album since forever and even if that is still a bit far away until it happens, Wesley Eisold has announced that his second release of the year is about to drop, following Nothing Is True But You from earlier in 2016.

Cold Cave's new track is called The Idea Of Love, it will be released on a 7-inch picture disc with another song, Rue The Day, on the b-side on a limited run of just 500 copies through Heartworm Press and it will be out on September 9th.

Wesley Eisold writes: "The Idea Of Love is Cold Cave at it’s most passionate, coolest, punkest and rawest, recalling the early primitive recordings that made up the Cremations release, even using much of the same salvaged and battered thrift store equipment as used on those early recordings. It should be clear by now that Cold Cave is existing in their own world, releasing music in any format and at any time they choose. An evolution by it’s own rules, laughing happily outside of the tired norm that is music industry convention."

The Idea Of Love is accompanied by a highly stylized black-and-white video by Amy Lee which you can watch right below...
