Dallas' True Widow are about to release their fourth album, Avvolgere on September 23rd on Relapse Records.
After the critical success of their fantastic previous effort, Circumambulation, True Widow collaborate again with Matt Pence who recorded the new album, just as he did with the previous one.
Blending stoner rock's heaviness with shoegaze's distortion, droning ambience and the accessibility of more traditional genres like the blues and good ol' rock 'n' roll, True Widow are not an easy band to match or categorize. If on Avvolgere the band is to repeat Circumambulation's maturity and artistic progress, we're definitely in for a good one.
