Sigur Rós: Óveður // Video

Icelandic post rock veterans, Sigur Rós recently took a trip around their home country and broadcasted the whole thing live on Icelandic TV and on Youtube, referred to it as Slow TV.  The experiment's soundtrack was based around their long awaited new track Óveður. According to Jónsi, "In a day and age of instant gratification and everything moving so fast, we wanted to do the exact opposite. Slow TV is counter-active to the world we live in, in that it happens in real time and real slow."

Tonight the band will play a show as part of Bristol's Summer Series, just before they are off to Glastonbury. Now as a trio, Sigur Ros mark an exciting new chapter in their long and prosperous career which begins right now with the release of the brand new video for Óveður, directed by acclaimed music video director and ex-Bathory drummer Jonas Åkerlund.
