Night Demon: Curse Of The Damned

California’s three piece, Night Demon are obviously obsessed with NWOBHM and 80s metal in general. Their debut full length, Curse Of The Damned, is unmistakably an homage to the genre and it’s all fun.

Three years ago the band released their self titled EP, to positive response and now with Curse Of The Damned, a very energetic and well produced album, Night Demon are about to make an even bigger impact among metalheads and beyond.

Surely Night Demon are not shy about their influences. Think of Diamond Head, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Saxon, Iron Maiden (of course), Judas Priest (certainly), Dario Argento 80s horror slashers, custom denim vests loaded with patches and studs and a touch of the American part of 80s metal, Riot, Jag Panzer…

In music everything gets to be revived at some point and frequently revival acts become boring and graphic real quickly. That doesn’t seem to be the case for Night Demon. Curse Of The Damned is worthy of the the attention.
