NIGHTSISTER, a darkwave act from Portland, OR, has created a number of early singles which demonstrate their dark post punk and synthpop aesthetic. The band's releases, which are part of the Isolation Club art collective, have made a strong impression so far, and show NIGHTSISTER's early work ideation.
The most recent single from NIGHTSISTER, 28, is a masterful example of dark, sullen post punk which traces its origins back to the eighties and easily ranks among the most special in the underground side of the genre today. The song is one of the finest interpretations of the group's artistic vision to date, with coldwave synths, despondent vocals, and an overarchingly foreboding atmosphere.
