Spanish instrumental post rock veterans, EXXASENS, have returned with their seventh studio album, LE-VOYAGE, out through DUNK! Records, Aloudmusic, and Exxarerecords. Alpha is the first single off the album, a dense five-minute number which exemplifies the band's expansive, cosmic sound, their excellent utilization of elements from progressive rock and krautrock, and their all around refined musicianship.
EXXASENS have shared stages with genre-influential bands like Toundra, Russian Circles, Maybeshewill, 65daysofstatic, GIIA and Sleepmakeswaves, and over the course of seven albums, they have demonstrated a fairly diverse musical outlook.
The melodies and the powerful guitar moods on LE-VOYAGE seem to be taking the band's celestial post rock approach even further, sounding even more ambitious and mind-bending.
