Following a couple of promising demos, up and coming shoegazers, Sledges, unveil their latest two-song release, Far From Over. The band make a notable debut with their heavy shoegaze/grunge sound, drawing inspiration from the genre's earlier days.
Far From Over has a thick wall of sound with nice melodies and guitar lines, as the band have reworked their approach compared to previous offerings, demonstrating that they're fully coming to the realization of their art form.
With only a few examples to showcase thus far, the San Diego band are looking to carve out a spot on the current heavy shoegaze map, and it appears like they're on the right track.
