From Belgium, new heavy rockers, PRUILLIP, are composed of Louis Evrard (Bert Dockx, Grid Ravage) on guitar and Annelies Van Dinter (Echo Beatty, Naga Ghost) on drums. The band was formed in 2021 after being invited by Belgian artist and event manager Dennis Tyfus for a show at De Nor in Antwerp.
Despite not having many recordings under their belt, the band has already demonstrated glimpses of brilliance and potency in their songwriting and execution. Their live session at Dokrijk in Antwerp captures the band delivering an exciting performance of two solemn and bold tracks, recalling the monolithic immensity of groups such as Earth and Sleep, as well as more recent acts like BIG|BRAVE and Brutus.
Slow burning, expertly repetitive, weighty and noisy, PRUILLIP are definitely capable of causing a stir, and they are going places.
