Share the Present is the latest reveal off Momentary Presence, the upcoming album by NYC shoegaze/psych rock sensation, GIFT. The album arrives on October 14th, 2022 through Oliver Ackermann's (A Place to Bury Strangers) Dedstrange label.
“I wrote this song about coming out of a depression/anxiety pattern,” says bandleader TJ Freda. “Being present is the most important thing you can do when you are feeling down. Don’t dwell on the past of who you were. Look to the present moment and appreciate who you are and where you're going.”
Hinting at both krautrock and eighties synthpop, Share the Present is paired to a fun and visually captivating visual which enhances the song's kaleidoscopic qualities.
