Totally Slow: The Lost Art of Shutting Up

Not long after their very gratifying new album, Casual Drag, North Carolina punks, Totally Slow, return with the standalone single, The Lost Art of Shutting Up, a bright work indicative of the band's intensity and all-around radicality.

The band's Scott Hicks elaborates: "We wrote this song between bass players, so it was recorded as a three piece and really represents a moment of frustration with everyone thinking their input and opinions are needed in every context. There's power in sitting quietly and listening. 'Go Faint' means take a breath, stop thinking you have to be so loud. Of course, I'm screaming it at you so it's kind of ironic."

Totally Slow recently completed a brief tour with Man or Astroman, and they are due to do a few performances with Agent Orange, all while working on a new album to be published later this year.
