New Zealand-based ambient composer, Micah Templeton-Wolfe aka Stray Theories, will be releasing the new album, This Light, expected out on October 8th, 2021 through n5MD. Since the early 2000s the artist has come up with a series of demo and EP releases, until the full realization of the Stray Theories project in 2012 with the album Even Though We Sleep, through which Templeton-Wolfe showcased a different direction.
First example off the impending album is Empath, a deeply atmospheric cut which lifts from post rock, experimental electronica and cinematic ambiance, and sounds grand and peaceful in equal measures, owing to its enamoring structure and its magnetic instrumental approach.
