Known as producing member in post rock/metal titans Cult of Luna and pg.lost, Swedish musician Kristian Karlsson ventures forth with his new solo project, Soars, presenting a powerful, well crafted sound which is mainly founded on a progressive/post rock footing, yet, it also reaches the grounds of cinematic ambiance and synth-based electronica.
The Heist, the newest single off the upcoming full length, Enfold, is a forceful, vigorous piece which doesn't let up its instrumental strength for the entirety of its duration. Masterful instrumentation built from sharp guitars and analog synthesizers meets head-on with an energetic, direct compositional approach, and the result is definitely something on par with the artist's previously celebrated endeavors.
