Luvencie: Cuffed (feat. Seb Alvarez)

Mainly known for being a part of Street Sects and for contributing to the post hardcore band, Glassing, Shaun Ringsmuth introduces the new electronica project, Luvencie, in which elements from hardcore, punk, industrial and noise are being merged into a compelling cacophony with a clean vision, and a strong penchant for the extreme.

The quite hard hitting first offering, Cuffed, sets off the new act to a fantastic start, featuring Seb Alvarez from the Chicago hardcore band, Meth.

"Original vocal stems were provided for the track, and then cut up/modulated to be used as an instrument," Ringsmuth lets us in on the creative process behind the piece, and continues on its aim, mentioning two issues which are personal to him: "The intention of the song is to showcase the cycles of mania and shame involved with body dysmorphia and binge eating."

Luvencie is originating as a largely instrumental project with the occasional contribution of guest vocalists, and this first endeavor evinces something not only well made, but also quite transfixing.
