Everyone knows that summer is cruel, but who would have guessed that it can also be rather busy regarding the noteworthy music which keeps emerging from the underground...?

Not unlike the band's predominant eccentricity, New Romeo Agent, is the latest single by Tropical Fuck Storm ahead of their forthcoming album, Deep States, arriving on August 20th, 2021 via Joyful Noise.

A different, more idiosyncratic approach seems to be the direction for Low, and their next album, HEY WHAT. Disappearing is the newest example off it, coming with a nice video directed by performance artist Dorian Wood.

The great MONO, a band which continues to elevate post rock, coming through with consistently gripping albums, announce their coming full length, Pilgrimage of the Soul, recorded and mixed by Steve Albini. The band introduced the album with the very atmospheric and quite heavy, Riptide, which comes with a very cinematic video. The entire record releases September 17th, 2021 via Temporary Residence Limited.

The KVB return with an upbeat new single on Invada Records. They describe: "World On Fire was written in late 2019 and at its core it’s about duality and how a phrase like 'set the world on fire,' which sounds so destructive, is also about doing something remarkable. We wanted it to be a phrase that is deliberately open to interpretation in this song."

Melvins will be releasing a newly recorded, massive acoustic collection which features 36 songs including classics from the band's catalog, as well as covers originally by Brainiac, The Rolling Stones, and Alice Cooper. Night Goat, originally on 1993's Houdini is the first track we get to sample from Five Legged Dog which arrives on October 15th, 2021 via Ipecac Recordings.

Sacramento's Creux Lies continue mixing darkwave and coldwave elements in their memorable dark alternative rock, and deliver the terrific new single, Misunderstanding, part of their coming sophomore album, Goodbye Divine. Appropriate goth aesthetics come through the accompanying video featuring cinematography by Phil Mohr, starring dancer Jessica Will.

Smoking Martha deliver some high energy rock 'n' roll on their raw and direct new single, Good Girls, the first example off the band's coming album, expected in Fall 2021.

Boris reveal a part of their 'NO’ WORLD TOUR IN YOUR HEAD streamed performance from last April which was broadcast as a 360 degree video stream on YouTube. It's a fantastic delivery of Loveless, the lead single from their recent album, NO.
