Formed by friends Kasey Heisler (vocals, bass) and Patrick Porter (guitar), New York's A Very Special Episode have come a long way since their beginnings. After some lineup changes and two EP releases, the band has settled as a trio with the addition of drummer Chayse Schutter), and they're gearing up toward their first full length, FIX YOUR HEARTS OR DIE.
The coming album is introduced with first single, Cowboy, a grungy, garage-bent noise rocker with a twangy approach, and an Americana feel.
"Cowboy tries to embody the swagger of every man who’s ever decided it was his job to swoop in to save someone who didn’t ask for or need it," the band describe. "Sometimes it's toxic, other times it's pathetic, and we went and made a bop about it."
The very gritty song comes paired to a very nice, equally abrasive video, directed, edited, and shot by Jeffrey Star who is also starring in it.
FIX YOUR HEARTS OR DIE will be out on October 12th, 2021 through Hidden Home Records and EWEL Records.
