Not long after the self-release of Manufactured Joy, Ignat Frege from the ranks of the experimental act, Wreck and Reference, carries forward with his solo project, Hand Model, and announces new EP, The Thinking Monster, expected out through The Flenser on July 2nd, 2021, as part of the label series Three Membership.
The new EP is a collaboration between Frege and producer WTCHCRFT, and the its just revealed title track shows the project's different direction compared to the maximalist approach of the previous release, this time focusing on heavy beats and dissonant samples.
The video which comes with the track was directed by Ignat Frege alongside Nathan Burger.
“The Thinking Monster craves vodka, razor blades and artificial light,” Frege comments.
