Ripple Tapes: Looking Back

A little after the grisly dazzle of the horror-themed (Living) in the Dead of Night, Ripple Tapes return with the synthpop smash that is their new single, Looking Back

This time around Connor Appleby's songwriting adverts to depression and one's unfitness in doing what is required to progress and improve.

"The emotions attached to becoming a stranger to yourself can come on fast and hard, and can often leave us feeling lost and overwhelmed," the artist explains, as his new track makes good use of the synthpop canon, echoing the more danceable aspect of New Order through a wistful approach, and in full lo-fi pop swing.
