Oakland dreampop act, There's Talk, is about to release its third EP, Great Falls, which comes out on December 18th, 2020, two years after the previous EP, bathed water moon, and following the standalone single, Head in Reverse, which came out in March 2020.
Just like with the band's previous effort, new track and EP opener, A Slow Return, comes forth carrying an admirable ethereal and shadowy dreampop sound which bases its lure on an electronic-bent style of production, and the moody vocal delivery of the project's main creative force, Olivia Lee, whose songwriting strengths evolve from a good ear for instrumentals, as well as her Chinese heritage and queer identity.
The band's lineup is rounded by collaborators Kellen Balla and Young Lee, as the trio continues its evolution, and puts on display the auspiciousness of their coming release.
