On the back of the wonderful debut that is WEIDA, German darkwave act, DIAF, unveils a new video for another dark cut off the album, visually equivalent to both the clip for the previous, NACHT, and the whole record's deep red and black aesthetics.
As with the album's entirety, ERBSÜNDT, which translates to 'Original Sin', brings together darkwave, synthpop, post punk, neofolk, industrial and EBM sounds into a dense and very impressive unit, while the pop awareness, especially on this notably memorable track, is quite evident and fascinatingly opposed to the darkness of its lyricism.
The baritone vocals sung in Bavarian slang round out the genuineness in DIAF's creative vision, and have this act standing out from the generality of newly released darkwave.
