The Dead Milkmen: (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang / A Complicated Faith

Veteran punks, The Dead Milkmen, return with a new seven-inch, a limited, hand-numbered release composed of a great cover and a strong original. Heaven 17's powerful anti-fascism anthem, (We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang, originally from 1981's Penthouse and Pavement, gets a dynamic new rendition in the hands of the experienced punk band, and the new composition, A Complicated Faith, completes the group's excellent new release.

The single comes out on the Philadelphia-based label, The Giving Groove, and all label profits will be donated to a 501(c)3 music-related charity. The Dead Milkmen selected  Girls Rock Philly as the beneficiary which is a youth-centered music organization keen on building an intergenerational community of girls, women, trans and gender non-conforming people.

It's The Dead Milkmen's first new offering since their EP, Welcome to the End of the World, from 2017, and a much potent return for the band who treat the new wave classic with devotion and appreciation, and accompany it with a new cut which sounds absolutely matching to the A-side's post punk/new wave tenacity.
