Weathering: Changing Colors

Sacramento's Weathering were formed in 2019 by Elinor Carbone and Alex Acuna (formerly of post hardcore act, Anxious Arms). The band pulls influence from the earlier days of shoegaze, yet, their sound come forth with a more contemporary feel, all grunge bent, and leaning toward the genre's heavier side, paralleled to bands like Nothing, Pity Sex and DIIV.

Weathering released their debut EP, I Come Down last year through Sunday Drive Records, and they have just put out a split single on the same label with another band from Sacramento, Ease.

Changing Colors is an immediately gripping piece which maintains all of the shoegaze qualities which have characterized Weathering's early presence, while taking a moderately more upbeat approach, with sharp, reverberating guitars on the limelight, a soft vocal performance leading on, and a superb, first rate style of production.
