Holy Wave: I'm Not Living in the Past Anymore

Acclaimed psychedelic dreampop band from Austin, Texas, Holy Wave, return with their new, fourth album, Interloper, scheduled to come out on May 8th, 2020 through Reverberation Appreciation Society. The first specimen off the new LP comes through the single and trippy visual for the track I'm Not Living in the Past Anymore.

A fresh, striking and mesmeric piece that represents the band's penchant for distinction at the more psychedelic side of shoegaze, the song makes obvious its indications of krautrock and synthpop influences, without letting them outshine its psychedelic properties,

The hallucinogenic video contrasts black and white scenes of the band performing against over-saturated, chromatic textures, appearing perfectly paralleled to the song's dazzle.

"It's basically sort of a mantra," the five-piece band comment on their new single. "Repetition is crucial in changing the way you interpret and interact with the world around you."

Holy Wave have announced a series of live dates, with more to follow.
