Even As We Speak: Forgiving

Aussie twee pop heroes, Even As We Speak, have been having a solid return since their reformation which happened during the last  few years of the previous decade, and generated a strong new EP, The Black Forest, sold out tours and shows, a release composed of their acclaimed Peel sessions, and an overall pretty dynamic resurgence. Even As We Speak reached the peak of their success as part of the Sarah Records catalog, and disbanded in 1993 after a productive first run.

Adelphi will be the band's forthcoming album scheduled to arrive June 26th, 2020 through Shelflife Records, introduced with Forgiving, a wonderful three and a half-minute piece of power pop excellence which comes with a DIY video of touring footage.

Forgiving echoes much of the band's celebrated past, and presents the vibrancy in their songwriting still staying abuzz. Harmonious, glimmering, acutely produced and very much accessible, the song is an unsurprisingly spotless pop tune.
