Having one of the first great albums of 2020 under their belt, Lebanese shoegazers, Postcards, have just released a moody new visual for the tense, yet, very dreamy Dead End, the opening track off their fresh LP, The Good Soldier,
Directed by Tariq Keblaoui who's also responsible for the video for Postcards' previous single, Fossilized, the very artistic new clip appears in total sync with the sentimentality in the band's writing and delivery, while its cinematic character is palpable.
Dead End is a very strong and deeply atmospheric record opener, of the dreampop kind that in the past spawned the genre shaping mawkishness of Julee Cruise, and dictated the otherworldly eeriness of the Twin Peaks world.
The Good Soldier is out through T3 Records.
