Did You Die: Left Of Center

Canadian shoegazers, Did You Die, follow their very good previous album, Royal Unicorn, with Postcards From Paradise, a solid four track release of well executed cover versions of indie and gothic pop standards.

Originally a highlight from the 1986 Pretty In Pink soundtrack, Suzanne Vegas' Left of Center gets a warm dreampop rendition which preserves the pop accessibility of the original, while it also gives the song a melancholic spin which feels very fitting and aesthetically bold.

In a similar manner, the band treat songs by The Psychedelic Furs, Peter Murphy and Flesh For Lulu with respect, in an overall upright group of covers, arranged and produced by the band's own Richie Felix Alexander.

Did You Die are Richie Felix Alexander (all instruments and vocals) and Katherine Marie Kovna (vocals).
