As if Asheville goth punks, Secret Shame, hadn't already had a great year with the release of their excellent debut full length, Dark Synthetics, the band is about to deliver another knockout punch, this time with a series of complementary remixes of tracks from the recent LP, along the lines of an unspoken rule followed by archetypal darkwave and post punk bands.
XOR is the solo project of Secret Shame's own bassist, Matthew, who provides a brilliant rendition of Calm, through a more haunting, decadent and danceable approach, reminiscent of the electronic-infused, industrial gloom helmed by Clan of Xymox and Covenant, unveiling a whole different adaptation of the multidimensional darkness Secret Shame have to offer.
