Lightfoils: Summer Nights

Ready with their sophomore album, their first in four whole years and the follow up to their 2014 debut on Saint Marie Records, Hierarchy, Chicago-based shoegazers, Lightfoils unveil Summer Nights, the wonderful lead single off the forthcoming full length, Chambers.

The eight-minute long dreampop epic finds the band at their most competent and imposing form, sounding wistful and warmhearted from start to finish, firmly executed and carrying the excellent production of Adam Stilson. The song calls to mind the haziness and dynamism of the best of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine, while appearing absolutely expressive of the Chicagoan five-piece's own fiery originality.

Since their formation in 2010 and through their superb early releases, Lightfoils caught the attention of the shoegaze world, and made a name for their auspicious selves. The new album's full, avalanching sound emerges like a stable forward step, and continues to push expectations and suggest nothing but a promising and rosy future for the band.

Lightfoils is Jane Nicholson (vocals), John Rungger (drums), Neil Yodnane (guitar), Zeeshan Abbasi (guitar) and Cory Osborne (bass).

Chambers comes out November 16th, 2018.
