bdrmm: C:U

After having dropped their main composer's early phone recordings and totally DIY lo-fi approach, Hull five-piece bdrmm took a completely different direction, and as a full band have managed to deliver a run of few promising singles, which clearly showcase their potency as an hopeful shoegaze act.

Their latest piece, C:U, is a jangly power pop single which ably balances between a rather blurry dreampop sound and some bolder shoegaze nerve, and its sharpness surely does not resemble anything comparable to a mere phone recording.

"I wrote C:U during a pretty ‘eventful’ time in my life," songwriter Ryan Smith explains, "a lot of feelings hurt, vivid anxiety and things lost, this track has been a long time coming. This is an ode to 2017."

bdrmm is comprised of Ryan Smith (guitar and vocals), Jordan Smith (bass), Joe Vickers (guitar), Daniel Hull (synth and backing vocals) and Luke Irvin (drums).
