Astronaut Alchemists is the latest of the numerous times much acclaimed producers,Youth and Gaudi have worked together on either a studio or a live project.
Youth has been one of the founding members of the legendary Killing Joke, and has also worked with high caliber musicians, such as The Verve, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, The Orb, KLF, U2 and more, while Gaudi's list of collaborators over the years has included names like Lee “Scratch” Perry, Simple Minds, Lamb, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Horace Andy, Steel Pulse and Deep Forest.
Bass Weapon is the opening track and first single off the duo's upcoming collaborative full length, which is being released on October 12th, 2018 via Liquid Sound Design. An incredible looking accompanying video stands as an accurate depiction of the song's sci-fi and psychedelic nature, mingled perfectly with its dub character, and carrying a superbly sharp production, true to both artists' combined venerability.
Like its title suggests, Bass Weapon is a forceful and spirited track, wielding together influences from diverse styles, while it makes clear that it has its own dynamic personality; a great presentation of two masterful artists that continue to advance forward.
