My Ultra Violet: Wilde as Me

A few months ago My Ultra Violet came up with an impressive single, a magnificent debut that coincided with the beginning of summer. Its follow up, Wilde As Me, comes now as a wonderful way to conclude this year's balmy days in a wistful high.

This time inclined a little more toward synthpop, the Los Angeles trio fronted by Magic Wands' Dexy Valentine and featuring Coleman Moore and Phil Galloni, draw inspiration from the great Oscar Wilde and take the existential properties of their dreamy sound up a notch.

The melancholic vibes in Wilde As Me are eminent, and easily detectable between the song's shiny and colorful pulses and eloquence. Where sophisticated, artful pop meets with vivid psychedelia, enchantingly rich synthpop and that steady dreampop foundation at which its members are wizards, My Ultra Violet emerge as one of the most flourishing new acts. What's about to follow will surely be worth the while.
