IDLES: Danny Nedelko

The second single to emerge off the second album by Bristolian punk rockers, IDLES, is a politically charged dynamite in favor of immigration, centered around the band's Ukrainian friend who is also the vocalist of another punk band from Bristol, Heavy Lungs. Danny Nedelko, despite being the inspiration for the song and its title, is also featured prominently in the self-directed video.

IDLES' lead vocalist, Joe Talbot, talks about the coming LP: "This album is an attempt to be vulnerable to our audience and to encourage vulnerability; a brave naked smile in this shitty new world. We have stripped back the songs and lyrics to our bare flesh to allow each other to breathe, to celebrate our differences, and act as an ode to communities and the individuals that forge them. Because without our community, we’d be nothing.

Joy as an Act of Resistance is due out 31 August via Partisan Records, and IDLES will be embarking on a world tour starting September, on the UK leg of which they'll be supported by their friend and his band, Heavy Lungs.
