Sacred Bones is planning the release of two records by seminal dreampop singer, Julee Cruise, both coming August 17th, 2018. Three Demos is a completely new release which features the first ever recordings of songs from her collaborative album with David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti, Floating Into the Night, from 1989, one of the genre's most emblematic records.
1993's The Voice Of Love marked the return of Cruise, Lynch and Badalamenti to the studio with another set of song that became Cruise's sophomore album. It is now being released for the first time on vinyl as a deluxe 2xLP, and reprinted on CD.
The demo version of Floating, the debut LP's opener, has been unveiled, and it sounds significantly different than the original we've been familiar with for almost thirty years. It whets the appetite for what the rest of those demos hold, and it once again verifies that the joint effort between those three masters of their crafts was an otherworldly, one of a kind collaboration.
