Welcome back Blushing, the Austin, TX based quartet comprised of two husband and wife couples, which happens to be one of the strongest fresh acts in the world of shoegaze and dreampop these days.
Blushing released their wonderful debut EP, Tether, earlier this year, and they're currently among preparations for their next one, Weak, which will be out January 26th 2018. The upcoming EP's title track now comes with a colorful music video, the band's first one ever, shot entirely on an iPhone and directed by the band's own, drummer Jake Soto with additional filming by friend of the band, Eddie Chavez.
Echoes of Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine and Lush come in perfect harmony with the video's multicolored, hazy visuals, and the band performing in slow motion. Despite the frailty of its title, Weak emerges in every respect strong and beyond doubt promising for what's about to come.
Weak will be released digitally, on cassette and 12” vinyl January 26th 2018 on Austin Town Hall Records.
