Hardworker is a four-piece rock band from Durham, North Carolina which at its present state sounds like a perfect amalgamation of the worlds of folk and indie rock. Things didn't start this way though, as in 2015 Sus Long and Mike Conner were an acoustic folk duo who later added guitarist Danny Nowell and vocalist Alex Treyz to their act, in search of a louder and more effective sound.
Look More Like A Girl, the latest single from the band's recently released debut album, Go Alone, can be perceived as something both contemplative and fun. The song brings to mind many different styles and influences from folk, rock, Americana, and even punk rock, blended together seamlessly through smart songwriting, a gutsy attitude, and a common-sense-versus-the-patriarchy point of view.
Hardworker's debut album Go Alone was produced by Alex Bingham and engineered by Mitch Easter at the Fidelitorium in Kernersville, North Carolina and was released July 2017.
