Grave Pleasures: Infatuation Overkill

The upcoming sophomore release from Finnish post-punk five-piece, Grave Pleasures, will be titled Motherblood, and it will be out on September 29th via Century Media Records. The album was recorded at Orgone Studios in the UK with Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Ulver, Paradise Lost) and it features guest vocals from Current 93's David Tibet.

Infatuation Overkill, the first single off the new record has surfaced in the form of a dark and colorless music video, directed by the band's own Mat McNerney.

Regarding the new single, Mat McNerney states: "This song draws first blood, where desire reaches fever pitch. Infatuation Overkill is a picture of the current zeitgeist in free-fall. Our voyeurism, our all consuming ego, our absolute fixation with our own image and our descent into a commonly accepted form of mass schizophrenia. Obsession and omnipresent violent lust have become the norm as mania begins to seep into our intrinsicmake-up. We attempt to portray the feeling of being pulled apart as the volcano erupts on our species and the dawn of man begins to draw to a close."
