A genuinely intriguing post rock band from Boston, MA, I/O will be releasing their second album, Anyone, Anywhere on July 7th through Dollar Slice Records.
On its first single, Allston, the six-piece band sounds as rich and affecting as ever, with the song slowly building and swinging between slenderness and discomfort, wealthy in texture, true to the standards and values of post rock as a genre, but continuously adventurous and flirtatious with the unexpected.
Allston sounds like a firm step forward from I/O's 2014 debut, Saudade, and those who have been anticipating the band's next step since then, will certainly be pleased with the results of what the band has been doing with their resourceful creativity during those three years.
