D//E Exclusive Premiere: Lords Of Beacon House: Spliff Ripper

It seems like the remainder of 2017 will be a very demanding period for Lords Of Beacon House, the heavy rock trio from San Pedro, CA, as the band is about to put out a split release with their friends, Great Electric Quest, and follow it with an EP release, a full length album, as well as a whole heap of touring in the US.

First up, the split release with Great Electric Quest will be out June 14th through Glory Or Death Records. About LOBH's contribution, Amir Ouaddi, the band's bassist/vocalist said, "We’ve been in the studio a lot over the last few months with Steven Kille of Dead Meadow recording us. These two particular songs, Cadillac Daddy and Spliff Ripper, were more groove inspired and good-time than the other material we recorded. We’ve been friends with Great Electric Quest for a while and we think these songs are a good compliment to what they are doing on the split."

Fool’s Gold, the EP and Recreational Sorcery, the full-length that will follow later in the year will be comprising the second and third parts of the trilogy started with LOBH's 2015 debut album. Ouaddi explained, "the trilogy consists of phases of our existence including life, death and ascendancy. Life is definitely a journey that a lot of people are blind to as they become trapped in materialism and its distractions."

The band's lineup is completed by Michael Lopez (drums) and Peter King (guitar). All three musicians had tried their skills with other dissimilar bands, yet, when those longtime friends began playing together in 2014, it all naturally led to the straightforward rock sound that became Lords Of Beacon House.

The palpable heavy rock dynamite, Spliff Ripper, appears wildly and intuitively grounded on vintage hard rock, exhibiting a fine deal of unpolished blues and psychedelic impulses flowing in abundant through the song's four-minute stoner rock sway.
