Slowdive: Sugar For The Pill

After unveiling to the world last January their first new track in over 20 years, shoegaze legends Slowdive have just announced that their new album is coming on May 5th and it is going to simply be called Slowdive.

The announcement comes along with the release of another track off the LP, the beautiful Sugar For The Pill, which is accompanied by a fantastic new music video produced by in/out which draws inspiration from the album's artwork. The cover art is itself a still from Harry Smith’s 1957 cult classic animation Heaven And Earth Magic.

As if that wasn't enough, the band also announced a surprise show which will be live streamed on March 29th on their Facebook page. The concert will take place at The Garage in London, the venue where the band left things off, where they played their final live show in their original incarnation in December 1993. The stream will go live at 9.10pm BST on March 29th.
