Recently settled in Southern California, composer Giacomelli is a proficient electronic music artist with roots in the underground Gainesville, Florida scene, evident skills in ambient psychedelia and many years of experience with the ranks of bands such as The Ohm, Hypoluxo, See Jams, The Strand, Destroyeur, ASS, as well as various session work.
Giacomelli's upcoming full length, Weather Calculator is a work of grand and surreal analog synthscapes of great magnitude to which we are introduced pronto through the premiere of its first single, Nimbus Villiany, a kraut-recalling, sinister minimal track that evokes the ingenuity in the early works of Kraftwerk and the fervent colorfulness of Tangerine Dream in the seventies.
