As far as rock documentaries go, it's hard to imagine a better pairing than Jim Jarmusch and The Stooges. Gimme Danger, the film that chronicles the heritage of Iggy Pop and The Stooges previously premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, it premieres in New York on October 28 and in L.A. on November 4th.
"The group was always very aware of the theatrics of the moment and they never moved ever. In 40 minutes, the drummer would never look up and the other two might move a foot or two," Iggy himself explains on this first clip we got to see from the movie, featuring himself diving into the crowd as usual and becoming intimate with a jar of peanut butter which appeared out of nowhere, over the sounds of the rest of the band rocking 1970.
